Welcome to Gateway Bible College, The Education, Research and Training Ministry of St Joseph’s Chosen Church of God. Gateway Bible College was established in May 1999, with the mandate of BUILDING MAN FOR THE MINISTRY. The aims and objectives are to train Ministers, conduct Researches, Seminars and Workshops, produce Study Manuals, especially the Church Sunday School and House Fellowship Manuals, Devotional Hand Books and prepare qualified Ministers for ordination among other scopes of operation.
The Bible College runs a Three-Year Theological Course which leads to award of Certificates and Diplomas in the College. The Theological course is designed to give the best experience needed to develop into a man fully built up for the Ministry and equipped to take the Gospel to any part of the world.
The College has since inception, trained over 2,000 Pastors and other Church Officers at different levels. These Eagles for Christ Jesus are soaring high in their different areas of calling, all to the glory of God. Currently, the College has produced 24 volumes of Sunday School Manuals as well as other Teaching Manuals. These Manuals are in use in the Church as well as in other denominations.
The Rector of the College is Apostle (Prof) J.A. Jacobson JP, a renowned educator of Men for Jesus Christ, and leads a team of highly qualified Holy Spirit filled and tested academic staff in executing the mandate of Building Man for the Ministry.
The Visitor to the College is, His Eminence, Apostle (Dr) Hayford I. Alile (OFR, NPOM). The Spiritual Leader of St. Joseph`s Chosen of God, a Leader highly revered internationally and endowed with exceptional grace to build men up for Jesus Christ. The Chairman of the School Management Board, that governs the Bible College, is Elder (Dr) Clement I. Alile, a man of high Spiritual Wisdom, a Seasoned Technocrat and the Pioneer Secretary to Edo State Government of Nigeria.
Currently, the College is operating at the temporal site at No. 1-2 Ogiamien Street off Sakponba Road, Benin City, Edo State Nigeria. Developing of the College`s permanent site at Evboligun Community in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area Edo State, that will pave way for relocation to the permanent site, is ongoing.
