The Baptismal Ministry of St Joseph`s Chosen Church of God, oversees the fulfillment of the great commission of our Lord and Saviour,…”Baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” (Matt28: 19)…in the Church for the new converts and believers who have been won over for Jesus Christ.

The cardinal objectives of the Baptismal Ministry include:

To help believers understand the spiritual significance of the sacraments of Baptism to become familiar with others associated with them
To bring believers to the knowledge that salvation is complete through baptism – (Mark 16:16)
To make Believers know that through baptism, we receive the second birth with water and spirit Baptism (John 3:3-5)
To make Believers know that baptism washes away sin (Acts 2:37-38; 22:16)
To make Believers know that baptism is dying with the Lord Jesus Christ and rising with Him (Phil 3:10; Rom. 6:3-4; Col. 2:12)
To make Believers know that baptism gives us new life (Rom 6:4)
To make Believers know that through baptism we put on Christ “God’s Image” which we lost through the original sin (Gal. 3:22)
To make Believers know that through baptism we become members of the Church of Christ (Col.2:11-12)
